PROJECT OVERVIEW
Location: The site is located in Bavaria, directly next to railway tracks, with no other buildings in the surrounding area.
Land lease: The 36,000 m2 site is leased for 20 years. There are two five-year extension options.
Voltage level: High Voltage project with own substation.
Local authorities: Strong support for the BESS project from the municipal council and district administration.
CO2-neutrality over Life Cycle: The CO₂ footprint of the BESS project is to achieve neutrality over its life cycle. Embedded and operational emissions will be offset by biodiversity units from our Rainforest Conservation Projects.
