PROJECT OVERVIEW

Location: Development of a premium site in Frankfurt am Main at one of Europe's most important data center locations.

Project objective: Development of a carbon-neutral 40 MW powered shell & core for a data center as part of an inner-city district for long-term leasing to an international technology company. In addition, an existing cultural area in the city will be rebuilt and expanded with additional uses consisting of serviced apartments, (shared) offices, retail space, and a parking garage.

Build to Suit: The powered shell & core aims to meet the specific need of a tech company. The other new buildings will be designed for future tenants, too.

24/7 Carbon-free Electricity: Power purchase agreements (PPA´s) with our wind park partners ensure the supply of green electricity. With the option of off-side grid-scale battery energy storage systems (BESS) we aim to balance supply of carbon-free electricity to achieve a high hourly matching rate of >85 % with the data center’s energy consumption.

CO₂-neutrality over Life Cycle: The CO₂ footprint of the entire project is to achieve neutrality over its life cycle. In addition to our climate and resource-friendly hybrid mass timber construction system and carbon-free power supply, unavoidable embedded and operational emissions will be offset by biodiversity credits from our Rainforest Conservation Projects.
